How AI Is Going to Change WordPress Development

September 15, 2026

AI isn’t going to kill WordPress.

I think AI is going to push WordPress back to what it does best: publishing content.

AI is also making real source code accessible to non-coders, giving them nearly unlimited freedom to customize the design and functionality of their websites simply by describing what they want.

In this video, I show how we’re using Gallop AI Editor + Next.js + headless WordPress to bring those two worlds together.

You get a streamlined WordPress experience for writing, editing, and publishing content — combined with an AI-powered website editing experience with incredible freedom over design and functionality.

It’s the best of both worlds.

This is where I think WordPress development is headed.
