Payne, Powell, Truitt and Chandler is a law firm in Lubbock, Texas. Search Google in Lubbock for a family law attorney and this firm is the first result Google shows, and it has been on the first page for that search every day we have checked since January 2025, in the top three on more than nine days out of ten. We track 103 searches for the firm every morning. Today, 69 of them show the firm on the first page, 36 in the top three and 14 at number one, and 50 of the 103 have been on the first page at least 95 percent of the days we have checked. Rankings drift. Checking every search every day means a slip shows up the same morning and gets fixed that week instead of that quarter. Douglas Newby is an independent real estate brokerage representing buyers and sellers of Architecturally Significant Homes in Dallas. His competition is Compass, Briggs Freeman and Allie Beth Allman, firms with hundreds of agents each. He outranks all three on many of the Google searches they share. Our strategy was a multi-domain brand: a large flagship site that holds most of the keyword rankings, plus specific sites that each target a single keyword topic. That lets the same business take several spots on a single page of Google results, and the specific sites often outrank the flagship site on the keywords they cover, because a page about one thing beats a page about everything.
